Special needs book news has been coming in thick and fast for the past few weeks. Most of it is about Different Dream Parenting, and this post aims to get you in the know about all of it.
What’s Up with Different Dream Parenting?
Take a gander at this list to catch up on what’s new:
- Different Dream Parenting is a finalist special needs parenting category of the Readers’ Choice Awards. Terri Mauro runs the special needs portion of the contest, and she says you can vote once a day between now and March 22. So surf over to about.com and vote for Different Dream Parenting. If you want to tweet about it and post the link on Facebook, leave a comment and I promise to do a happy dance and post a video of it on my Facebook page!
- The “Click to Look Inside this Book” feature has been added to the Different Dream Parenting Amazon page and the number of pages you can peek at is amazing. Hopefully, this new feature will encourage more parents to order the book so they can take advantage of the resources it contains.
- New reviews about DDP keep coming in. Two of the most recent ones are at ChristianChronicle.org, the website for the Church of Christ denomination, and at Ministry Moments, the official blog for Snappin’ Ministries.
Wait, There’s More!
But the book news doesn’t end there. I’m happy to announce that my new book proposal about post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in children is finished and in my agent’s hands. Her initial response was positive and the revisions she recommended were fairly painless. Soon, she’ll start sending the proposal to publishers. Of course there’s no guarantee a publisher will offer a contract, but with the proposal finished it could happen!
