Dress for Success: Adaptive Clothing for Kids with Special Needs

Every once in a while, a new idea makes my heart go pitter-pat. Mini-Miracles Adaptive Clothing is one of those ideas. The business’s creator saw a problem and came up with a solution that benefits kids with special needs. I love it when that happens!
Meet Victoria Valencia
I learned about Mini-Miracles in an article published by Action Online: Magazine of the United Spinal Association. The company is the brainchild of Victoria Valencia, who used to work as a pediatric special needs nurse. She became frustrated when dressing young patients with gastrointestinal feeding tubes (G-tubes), tracheotomies, braces or heplock tubes.
The article says this about the origin of the business. “One of Valencia’s friends urged her to do something about it. Although she had no sewing, manufacturing or business experience whatsoever, Valencia took a giant leap of faith. In 2006, she launched Mini-Miracles, an online company specializing in attractive adaptive clothing.”
