What’s New with Phil Vischer
If the name Phil Vischer doesn’t ring a bell, perhaps Veggie Tales does. Vischer was the creator of the wildly famous talking vegetable videos. If you’ve got kids at your house, you’ll be pleased to know that since leaving Veggie Tales behind, he’s been busy creating more good stuff for kids.
What’s in the Bible?
During his workshop at the recent the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Convention, Phil talked about his new project, a DVD series called What’s in the Bible? Think School House Rock meets Moses. At the workshop, he shared several clips. You can watch them at www.whatsinthebible.com. Poke around on the website, and you’ll find other cool things, too.

Vischer also has a web-based television channel for kids at www.jellyfishland.com. It’s a subscription-based site, though you can download a month of free programming. But be warned, it’s so funny your kids will beg you to subscribe. So enter at your own risk!
Vischer has incorporated sound educational theory in his productions. He explains things at kid level in entertaining, “sticky” ways with lots of repetition. If you want your kids to learn Bible basics, check him out. And let me know what you and your kids think of his new ventures.
