What a wonderful idea, Jen. I figured out the frozen meal trick when our kids were younger. And you're right. Meals in the freezer are an unbelievable form of peace of mind!

Something I always though would be fun and very helpful is a meal party. If you put your first 2 ideas together. Get a bunch of ladies together at a home or church kitchen, everyone bringing ingredients for a certain meal x3 (one for you to take home, one to freeze and one to give away). Everyone pitches in and puts dishes together assembly line style.
I have always been on the giving side. I love to cook and bake. I always used to freeze a dinner and give it away. Over the last couple of months, we have been extremely blessed to be on the other side. Having someone else make dinner and just be able to pull it out and heat it up is wonderful! On the days that mom can hardly keep her head on straight because of one doctor or therapist or other appointments, it's a huge relief to know that there is something in the freezer already. :)
