This program was so meaningful! Being a parent of a child living with Down Syndrome 30 and more years ago, I am so thankful to our God for the good things that happen now for children that didn't happen when Jeff was growing up. But, God sent us people to help and to support and to encourage all the way. I've written a book about our life with Jeff: "Journey With Jeff;Inspiration for Caregivers of People with Special Needs," (available on Amazon.com)in order to let caregivers know they are not alone! My website (see above) includes excerpts, responses from my readers, and encouraging news, such as in this video, for today's world. I'm on Face Book, as well, and would love to hear from other parents, grandparents, families and friends of children with special needs. Thanks again for sharing this inspiring broadcast!!

God has also blessed us with a grandson who has special needs. Sam has Down syndrome and autism; yet he, too, has helped us grow in understanding and patience and trust. As pro-lifers, our beliefs were challenged but, thankfully, greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We came forth as gold tried in the fire. To God be the glory, great things He has done.
I'd be lying to say that things are always easy for our daughter and her husband--and for us as secondary caregivers. But God gives grace in abundance and somehow we emerge stronger from each trial.
Truly, Sam is made in God's image. Now we see through a glass darkly but one day we will see clearly!
